No Kingdom Hearts III until 2013, Possibly Versus until 2012 - L-Factor Forums

He appeared to be saying this jokingly to the magazine, but a glance at Square Enix's release schedule suggests that he's probably right.

Japan will be getting Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded for DS next month. The Japanese "Final Mix" re-release of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, with additional content including a new "secret movie," will hit PSP in January.

In a Famitsu interview last week, Nomura said that following these two, Kingdom Hearts 3DS would be the next title for the series. Staff members from Birth By Sleep will be moving over to the Kingdom Hearts 3DS project as they finish up their work on Final Mix.

Add to that Final Fantasy Versus XIII which wont show its true form until January, and a release of 2012 or beyond for Kingdom Hearts 3 doesn't sound too farfetched.

Unreasonable? Possibly. But farfetched, no.

Well, there is one bit of good news.

Using the power of assumption, I can guess that America will have its voice actors begin recording their dialogue for Re:Coded, meaning we'll be getting the English version soon after.

Also, the Final Mix version of Birth By Sleep. Yes, it'll probably be Japan-only, but with a new video at the end...I'm quite excited to see what it adds to the game.

Soon considering Birth by Sleep came out in Jan and released earlier this month to US and Europe and Dissidia was out a good while before we got that too. 358/2 Days was a little faster, but still I wouldn't get your hopes up. I don't think Square cares too much about alienating their fans nowadays as this will probably do. A lot already seem fed up with their previous console releases.

I know XIV is coming out early next year, but that really doesn't intrigue me as it's an MMO and none of their previous console games have either except for XIII, but I'm hearing a lot of negative about that, not like mixed feelings back with XII. On another note when will Sakaguchi be releasing The Last Story?

Did everyone forget that Nomura is not very "supportive" of the 360?

I think kingdom hearts three will be multi plat too.

I mean look at ff13 it wouldnt have be half as successful in america as it has been doing if they didnt reseale it for 360, i think they are going to look at that

oh and some one noticed this :
I'm betting the game will not come out until 2014. I know its a long time to wait, but if you notice the main titles have followed a pattern.

KH1 (2002)
KH2 (2006)
KHBBS (2010)

Each main title has taken 4 years to come out. That leaves KH3 in 2014.
so i guess we gonna wait alot D:

and about XIV
it is an MMO but i think that it seems really promising .. dont you think ?

i would prefer a FF MMO over crappy Wow anyday!
But Wow Is Great ... Wow is AWESOME ... I Love Wow srsly i looove wow ... i play wow every day the whole day ... i know viper loves it too :D

I don't care too much about MMO's since I'm stingy and don't want to spend full price on a game and pay a monthly subscription to add to that. Oh and to note BBS isn't in the main series, goes along with COM, 358 Days, Re: Coded.

Aye, but it's been stated it's equally as important. After all, BBS is a prequel, and reveals a huge amount of plot concerning the KH Universe, whilst Days was more about Roxas (which isn't overly important tbh) and CoM was the bridge between KH and KHII (the game being pretty much explained to you in KHII).

As for Coded, I've never played it, but I think it's the latest chronologically, as in it takes place right after Kingdom Hearts II.
